This refactor introduces two major changes
1. Now creating the 'handler' delegate happens inside the endpoint
middleware. This allows you to short circuit even harder, AND to create
endpoint funcs that capture and use 'next' to rejoin the middleware
pipeline.
2. Relayered the implementation to have routing plug into the dispatcher.
It wasn't immediately apparent to me that this was the right thing to do,
but I think we will need to do things this way to deliver the kind of
back-compat experience we need to do.
The idea that I have is that 'attribute routing' will be the 'default'
entry in the dispatcher. Adding additional conventional routes or other
IRouter-based extensibility will be possible through adapters - but the
default experience will be to add items to the 'attribute route'.
So. We will need to port the attribute routing infrastructure to the
dispatcher library.
We may also need to make RVD into a subclass of something in the
dispatcher assembly.
* Create a sources package to encode the convention followed in our templates to create a WebHost.
* Add an extension method to setup the content root relative to the solution folder.
* Add a factory method to create a WebHostBuilder based on the pattern followed in our template.
The CompletionProvider will be called in cases where the document
doesn't have a FilePath - such as the C# interactive window. This is
causing a null ref.
- Most of the shared code is in the HttpProtocol class (former Frame)
- Virtual calls handle protocol-specific things
- Move the ProcessRequestsAsync loop to HttpProtocol
- Implement HTTP/1.x request processing in Http1Connection and HTTP/2
in Http2Stream, with Http1Connection<T> and Http2Stream<T> subclassing
those classes in order to handle the generic HttpContext parameter
- Split MessageBody into Http1MessageBody and Http2MessageBody,
with MessageBody containing shared member variables and methods
* Introduce ProblemDescriptionAttribute to enhance some 4xx messages and produce better API description.
* Introduce IErrorDescriptionProvider to modify the shape of error response.
