- start with `JsonSerializerSettingsProvider.CreateSerializerSettings()` when customizing a per-result formatter

- remove `<RootNamespace>` settings but maintain other unique aspects e.g. `<DnxInvisibleContent ... />`
- in a few cases, standardize on VS version `14.0` and not something more specific
